Why this work matters to me

You practice for hours. You push through the discomfort. The tight shoulders, the aching back, the tension you carry without realizing it — you've told yourself it's part of the deal. It doesn't have to be. As a pianist and dancer, I spent years searching for a deeper mind-body connection — a way to move, perform, and live with greater ease. At 22, a repetitive strain injury left me unable to move my left arm, bringing my piano studies to a halt. I stood at a crossroads, on the verge of giving up the dream I'd built my life around.

That injury could have been the end. Instead, it became a beginning. Discovering the Alexander Technique in New York City changed everything. It wasn't just what I was doing — it was how I was doing it. As I learned to release unnecessary tension, my pain eased, and the freedom and joy I thought I'd lost came back. Looking around at fellow performers, I saw the same story everywhere — chronic pain managed in silence, burnout quietly endured, talented people never taught to care for the most important instrument they own: themselves. And that's when I started seeing something bigger.

After a decade as a certified Alexander Technique teacher and 23 years teaching piano, I noticed that the performers who truly thrived weren't just practicing well — they were living well. The full picture of wellness mattered. That realization led me to become a certified health and wellness coach in 2025, so I could support the whole person, not just the performer in the practice room. Because you already have everything you need.

The ease, balance, and grace — it hasn't disappeared. It's just been buried under years of habit and holding on. Our work together is about finding your way back.
