MUSIC HEALS: From Tradition To Medical Innovation

Ever wonder how music can be used as a form of therapy to help persons with disabilities, to enhance medical rehabilitation, or even how to prevent repetitive stress injuries (RSI) in musicians?

This university led music in medicine conference presents evidence-based research findings based on real world R&D both locally and internationally. It will demonstrate how music can be used as a therapeutic agent to stimulate healing and recovery, as well as optimize health outcomes across 5 strands, as explained from the medical music therapy, music psychology and music in medicine perspectives.

The highlight of this conference is a keynote address by Assistant Professor Dr. Lori Gooding, medical music therapy professor at Florida State University (FSU), one of the USA's foremost experts in the field.
